Waterford has it all. There are golf courses with panoramic views, equestrian stables, one within walking distance of the city centre; many festivals including the International Festival of Light Opera at the Theatre Royal; there is even a Galley Cruising Restaurant operating from The Quay side. For those pursing further eduction Waterford Institute of Technology provides an ideal learning environment.
Not to be missed is one of the walking tours where you can learn about the historic buildings, colourful characters and legends associated with the town. There are two cathedrals. It is well worth attending one of the services or taking a tour. There are shops, markets, restaurants and entertainments to suit all the family. Of course no visit would be complete without a visit to the famous House of Waterford Crystal.
